MEET THE INSTRUCTORS

Whether your athlete is just getting started or preparing for high-level competition, our experienced instructors offer one-on-one lessons to help players sharpen their skills and reach their full potential.

Based in Raleigh, NC, our private coaching services are available to players across the Raleigh metro area, including Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, and beyond.

LANDON CHOBOY

Warriors Hitting
& Catching Instructor

We would like to introduce our warriors hitting and catching instructor, Landon Choboy. Landon works with multiple warriors helping them develop their skills and helping our older player navigate the college recruiting process as Landon has just been through the college process. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the warrior’s family. We are proud to have him as one of our instructors in the Warriors organization.

Coach Choboy:

My name is Landon Choboy and I’m a former college baseball player at the College of Charleston and the University of Mount Olive.

From 2014 to 2018 I played baseball at Leesville Road high school. I was fortunate enough to earn Cap-8 player of the year, be a part of the All-State team and be team MVP while also being 2x all conference.

While at College of Charleston from 2018-2022 I primarily played Catcher and outfield. I had a career average of .307 and 6 HR’s. At the university of Mount Olive, I primarily played Outfield and Dh’d while having a career average of .366 with 13 Hrs. I was fortunate enough to earn the Conference Carolinas tournament MVP and national hitter of the week honors.

Growing up in the Raleigh area and knowing how big the baseball community is, I want to give back and return the knowledge that was shared to me. I will be working with the Warriors Baseball at their indoor facility the War Room to give lessons and help give back to the young baseball players of the community.

HAYDEN MYRICK

Instructor

We’re excited to introduce Warriors pitching instructor, Hayden Myrick. Hayden brings a wealth of collegiate pitching experience and leadership to the mound, helping Warriors pitchers refine their mechanics, improve their mindset, and develop into confident competitors. A standout at the University of Mount Olive, Hayden’s knowledge of the game and dedication to player growth make him a valuable asset to the Warriors organization.

Coach Myrick:

My name is Hayden Myrick, and I’m a former collegiate pitcher at Gaston College and the University of Mount Olive.

I began my college career at Gaston College, where I made 11 appearances and pitched 17.1 innings. I then transferred to the University of Mount Olive, where I became a key part of the Trojans’ bullpen over three seasons. During my time at UMO, I totaled 77 appearances, 109.2 innings pitched, and recorded 93 strikeouts, 12 saves, and a 3.86 ERA, finishing with a 9-5 record. I was honored to be named Second Team All-Conference and served as a two-year team captain.

What set me apart wasn’t just physical ability—it was learning to master the mental side of pitching. Competing with focus, staying composed, and learning how to beat hitters are the keys I’m excited to pass on to the next generation. I’ll be working with the Warriors Baseball at the WarRoom indoor facility, helping young pitchers across the Raleigh area grow on the mound—physically, mentally, and competitively.

VITO PATIERNO

We’re proud to introduce Warriors hitting instructor, Vito Patierno. Vito brings elite college-level experience and a decorated playing career to the Warriors Baseball program. A consistent offensive force and defensive leader, Vito works with Warriors players to sharpen their hitting mechanics, improve fielding fundamentals, and strengthen their overall baseball IQ. His deep understanding of the game and ability to connect with young athletes make him an invaluable part of the Warriors organization.

Coach Patierno:

My name is Vito Patierno, and I’m originally from Raleigh, NC. I attended Heritage High School in Wake Forest before becoming a four-year starter at the University of Mount Olive.

While at UMO, I earned All-Conference honors all four years in Conference Carolinas. I finished my collegiate career as the All-Time Runs Leader in program history and ranked 2nd all-time in hits—a testament to consistency, preparation, and love for the game.

I bring a wealth of experience in both hitting and defensive instruction, and I’m passionate about helping young players grow their skillset, confidence, and love for the sport. Whether it’s refining your swing or improving your footwork in the field, I’m here to help you take your game to the next level.

I’ll be working with the Warriors Baseball at our WarRoom indoor facility in Raleigh, sharing what I’ve learned with the next generation of athletes across the Triangle.
